USED Hobbywing Xerun XR10 Justock G3S Brushless Speed Control ESC 60A, 2s-3 LiPo, BEC 4A
USED Hobbywing Xerun XR10 Justock G3S Brushless Speed Control ESC 60A, 2s-3 LiPo, BEC 4A
This controller was used as a loan unit and shows the usual signs of wear and tear. However, it is fully functional. It is sold WITHOUT packaging or accessories. This is NOT the latest ETS version (G3S V2) but the ‘standard’ G3S controller.
Some of the cables are very short (due to installation in FWD vehicles), but can of course be re-soldered. No fan is included either!
The XR10 JUSTOCK G3S speed controller offers even more customisation options and finer tuning to suit your own driving style than the standard Justock G3 speed controller. Designed specifically for racing and practice runs, it naturally features both 0-timing and an RPM limit of up to 88,000 RPM. So get ready for a fair and successful race. Another new feature is that, thanks to the Justock G3S speed controller, the motor can rotate both clockwise and anti-clockwise. Combined with the adjustable BEC voltage, this offers countless possibilities for integrating the speed controller with the rest of an RC vehicle’s electronics. Added to this are numerous safety features such as reverse polarity protection, which effectively prevents damage caused by the battery being connected incorrectly.
Hobbywing’s Xerun series comprises exclusively sensor-based brushless systems for professional racing use. The product range extends from 1/12 to 1/8 scale and from ‘Modified’ to ‘Stock’. The excellent performance, high reliability and a number of other features meet the high demands of top-level drivers in every respect.
Features:
- Even more parameters than the standard Justock G3 speed controller (Smart Fan, Freewheeling, Initial Throttle Force)
- Refined parameter options
- RPM limit of up to 88,000 RPM, compared to the previous 25,000 or 33,500
- Perfect for competition thanks to RPM limits and 0-timing

- Robust aluminium casing for ideal heat dissipation
- Built-in capacitors
- Firmware upgrades available to ensure you’re always up to date

Electronic speed controllers in RC modelling – more control, more driving fun
Electronic speed controllers (ESC for short) are the heart of modern RC models. Whether it’s an RC car, aeroplane, helicopter or boat – without a precision-operating speed controller, speed and handling cannot be optimally controlled. In this article, you’ll learn everything you need to know about the functions, advantages and selection criteria for electronic speed controllers in RC modelling.
What is an electronic speed controller?
An electronic speed controller regulates the speed of the electric motor in a radio-controlled model. It receives signals from the receiver and regulates the power delivered to the motor accordingly. This allows you to accelerate and brake precisely and (with bidirectional controllers) also drive in reverse.
Modern ESCs also offer numerous additional functions such as:
-
Soft Start for gentle acceleration
-
Braking modes (e.g. drag brake for crawlers)
-
Motor timing for finely tuned performance
-
LiPo undervoltage protection for battery safety
Brushed or brushless – which type of speed controller is the right one?
With electronic speed controllers, a distinction is made between brushed controllers for brushed motors and brushless controllers for brushless motors.
Brushed ESC
-
Simple design
-
More affordable
-
Suitable for beginners
Brushless ESC
-
Higher efficiency
-
More power and longer service life
-
Ideal for ambitious pilots and racers
Important: Brushed and brushless systems are not compatible with one another. Therefore, please ensure that the speed controller and motor are compatible.
Key criteria when buying an ESC
When buying an electronic speed controller for your RC model, you should bear the following aspects in mind:
-
Current rating (amperes): Must match the motor’s power consumption
-
Number of cells (S): Compatibility with the battery used (e.g. 2S, 3S LiPo)
-
Operating modes: Forward / Reverse / Brake – depending on the intended use
-
Programming: Many high-quality ESCs can be individually configured via a programme card or software
Conclusion: The right ESC makes all the difference
A high-quality electronic speed controller noticeably optimises the handling of your RC model. Whether you’re looking for a powerful brushless system for high-speed racing or a responsive controller for scale models – with the right choice, you’ll get the most out of your vehicle.
Tip: Look for brand-name quality from trusted manufacturers such as Hobbywing or Cayote to ensure long-term enjoyment and reliability.
