XRAY X1-2027 Formula 1 Car Kit Aluminium Chassis
The new Xray X1’27 was officially unveiled on 18 September 2026, and here are the key new developments and features at a glance:
Available in aluminium and carbon fibre versions for optimised performance on various track surfaces, without the need for special parts
• The aluminium version, designed for carpet tracks, features a 2.0 mm-thick aluminium chassis and a rigid axle
• The carbon version, designed for tarmac tracks, features a 2.2 mm thick carbon chassis and a gear differential
• The new HUDY composite front wing, developed in collaboration with Ehrbar Engineering, ensures superb steering response and excellent stability
• The redesigned one-piece chassis is optimised for the new front suspension and features increased rigidity at the rear for improved stability and traction
• Adjustable front bulkheads offer a wide range of flex adjustment options
• A shorter, one-piece front lower arm creates a cleaner and more attractive front suspension design
• The redesigned aluminium front upper deck mount matches the new front suspension layout • A narrower carbon arm mounting plate improves cornering speed and is directly connected to the carbon upper deck
• A revised front suspension design allows for easier adjustment of ride height, camber gain and droop, more consistent damping and more convenient oil top-ups
• A larger-diameter kingpin with integrated oil fill ports improves damping consistency
• A larger and longer front spring improves damping precision and performance
• A new camber gain adjustment system allows for easy tuning by adding or removing washers above the kingpin
• A revised downstop screw system replaces the clips and allows for easier and more precise adjustment of the droop • A revised lower ball joint improves damping
