The high-quality steel chassis from WeiRC is THE tuning alternative for your Awesomatix A800RR touring car. The 1.2mm thin chassis is heavier than a carbon fibre or aluminium chassis and lowers the centre of gravity of the vehicle enormously. The advantage of using a steel chassis can often be better handling and an "easier to drive car".
INFO: To use the chassis you need the matching screw set which is also available from WeiRC (WEI-SCS-A800R). We also offer this as a complete set (WEI-SCSET-A800R).
The chassis of the A800RR fits easily with the bulkheads from the A800RR kit. If you still have the predecessor A800R, you will definitely need the bulkheads from the Awesomatix steel chassis conversion kit, or generally bulkheads that were only purchased in 2025. The bulkheads from the first A800R kits do NOT fit on the WeiRC steel chassis.
