The Team Associated RC10B84.1 carries on the prestigious legacy of a true winning platform: With Team Associated works driver Marcus Kaerup’s legendary victory in the IFMAR World Championship in Australia, the B84 proved itself to be the global benchmark in 1:10 4WD off-road racing. The RC10B84.1 evolution brings this uncompromising world champion DNA directly into the kit – specifically refined for maximum lap times, surgical steering precision and ultimate stability on carpet, artificial turf and clay tracks.

Tried and tested by champions: refined chassis balance, V2 steering and variable flex options

The foundation of this racing machine is the 2.5 mm-thick, conically milled 7075-T6 aluminium chassis in a wide-tongue design (widened chassis nose) featuring a 10° kick-up and an optimised ramp angle. Whether on tight indoor tracks with maximum grip or well-worn natural clay tracks: thanks to modular front and rear chassis struts, the torsional stiffness (flex) can be precisely adjusted to the track’s grip conditions. Perfect weight distribution is ensured by the variably adjustable motor position (forward/backward) and the tool-free battery retention system with non-slip thumb tabs.

On the front axle, the newly developed V2 steering system, featuring reinforced struts and optimised bellcranks, eliminates any vertical play in the steering linkage, ensuring razor-sharp cornering and precise bump-steer control. Combined with the 73 mm Gull-Wing wishbones, a carbon-fibre shock mount complete with protective cap and 13 mm big-bore shock absorbers, the suspension absorbs even the most severe kerbs and landings after jumps. Height-adjustable gearbox housings – including the +2 rear box supplied for high-grip tracks – the decoupled slipper clutch and solid 3.5 mm right/left-hand tie rods make the B84.1 the top choice for drivers aiming to stand at the very top of the podium.

• Central aluminium servo mount: The floating-mounted centre servo mount prevents one-sided stress on the chassis floor.

Operating & assembly instructions

• Right/left threaded rods: When assembling, pay attention to the marking notch on the turnbuckles – the side with the notch indicates the left-hand thread. Fit all tie-rod ends in the same direction throughout the car so that turning the tool forwards or backwards always results in the same change in toe or camber on both sides of the car.
• Adjusting chassis flex: The front and rear chassis struts can be tightened or loosened depending on the level of grip: Full bracing ensures direct direction changes on high-grip carpet, whilst loosened struts generate more torsion and mechanical traction on loose clay.
• Adjusting the gearbox height: On smooth, extremely high-grip tracks (Astro/carpet), fit the supplied +2 rear gearbox housing to lower the centre of gravity of the drive shafts and minimise the tendency to traction rolls.
• Grease the drive shafts: Before fitting, apply a wafer-thin layer of special drive shaft grease (Black Grease) to the CVA joints and the long HD differential output shafts to reduce wear under extreme 4WD loads.

Important note regarding the scope of delivery

Electronic components (motor, ESC, servos, receiver, battery), tyres, rims, pinions, oils, paints and tools are not included. The body is supplied transparent and unpainted.
