Takashima D-13 TORX T7 Screw Set 120° for Infinity IF14 Speciale Chassis (incl. Screwdriver)

Why Torx screws are superior to hexagon screws (Allen screws)

1. Superior torque transmission (anti-stripping)

Hexagon: Only has 6 contact points. The force is concentrated on the sharp corners, which can very easily lead to "rounding off" or tearing of the socket under high pressure.

Torx: Features a circular lobular design that provides a much larger contact area. The force is transmitted via "surface contact" rather than "point contact", allowing significantly higher torques to be transmitted without damaging the screw head.

2. Longer tool life

As the force is distributed more evenly, the drive bit is subjected to significantly less stress. Torx bits are significantly more wear-resistant than hexagonal bits, so your tools last longer and still fit precisely even after many uses.

3. Reduced "slippage" and end load

When using hexagonal or cross-head screws , you often have to press firmly on the screw to prevent the tool from slipping .

The vertical side walls of the Torx design ensure that the bit sits securely. This means that almost no downward pressure is required when turning , which is much more ergonomic and efficient for both manual work and automated assembly.
