Takashima D-13 Steel Chassis 1.1 mm for Schumacher Mi10 (157g) – Black
Takashima D-13 Steel Chassis 1.1 mm for Schumacher Mi10 (157g) – Black
This chassis is 1.1 mm thick, has a black coating, and is particularly suitable for racing in stock touring car classes (as it is slightly lighter than a 1.2 mm chassis)
In collaboration with a team from a fully-fledged automotive manufacturing plant, a special spring steel has been selected that offers an optimal balance between strength and durability. The chassis features ultra-flat precision grinding with nanometre-level accuracy and a mirror-smooth surface finish for exceptional performance and consistency.
It is designed for use with 120-degree flat-head screws and no longer requires specialised screws, which significantly improves cost-effectiveness and availability.
TKSM-208 Schzumacher Mi10 1.1 mm spring steel chassis Weight: 157 g
The chassis pack does NOT include a 120-degree screw set.
We recommend the TKSM-209 TORX screw set and the TKSM-185 TORX screwdriver
. Please read the following information: :
As the steel plate is only 1.1 mm thick, it cannot be fitted using standard 90-degree countersunk screws. Our chassis plate must be fitted using M3 120-degree countersunk flat-head screws. (Using screws that are not 120 degrees will enlarge the holes and cause permanent damage to the plate.)
Although you can find this type of screw on the market, we strongly recommend using our factory-made Takashima D-13 screws to achieve the best assembly results.
Our bespoke screws are characterised by the following features :
Each screw specification is manufactured using its own, independent mould. The precision exceeds that of mass-produced bolts of the same size and ensures that, once fitted, the bolt head sits perfectly flush with the steel plate without protruding, thereby preventing deformation of the plate.
The screws are made of carbon steel with a silver-coated finish and have a strength class of 12.9. The recommended tightening torque for all M3 screws is 0.8 N·m to achieve a longer service life and better resistance to frequent assembly and disassembly.
The depth of the screwdriver slot has been specially adjusted to ensure that the recess is deep enough for secure tightening, thereby reducing the risk of the screwdriver slipping.
