Takashima D-13 Steel Chassis 1,1mm for Mugen Seiki MTC-3 (137g)
Takashima D-13 Steel Chassis 1,1mm for Mugen Seiki MTC-3 (137g)
This Takashima steel chassis is 1.1 mm thick and weighs 137 g. It is slightly lighter than the 1.2 mm version and is particularly suitable for all stock classes (as well as Modified). It also features a durable black coating!
Takashima D-13 is launching a new product line of steel chassis for 1:10 touring cars, which also includes a chassis for the Mugen Seiki MTC-3!
In collaboration with a team from a full-scale automotive manufacturing plant, a special spring steel has been selected that offers an optimal balance between strength and durability. The chassis features ultra-flat precision grinding with nanometre accuracy and a mirror-smooth surface finish for exceptional performance and consistency.
It is designed for use with 120-degree flat-head screws and no longer requires special screws, significantly improving cost-efficiency and availability.
TKSM-118 Mugen Seiki MTC-3 1.1 mm Spring Steel Chassis Weight: 137gThe
chassis package does NOT include a 120-degree screw set.
Please read the following information :
As the steel plate is only 1.1 mm thick, it cannot be mounted using conventional 90-degree countersunk screws. Our chassis plate must be mounted using M3 120-degree countersunk flat-head screws. (Using screws that are not 120 degrees will enlarge the holes and cause permanent damage to the plate.)
Although you can find this type of screw on the market, we strongly recommend using our factory-made Takashima D-13 screws to achieve the best assembly results.
Our custom screws are characterised by the following features :
Each screw specification is manufactured using its own independent mould. The precision exceeds that of mass-produced screws of the same size and ensures that the screw head sits perfectly flush with the steel plate after assembly, without protruding, thereby preventing deformation of the plate.
The screws are made of carbon steel with a silver-coated surface and have a strength class of 12.9. The recommended tightening torque for all M3 screws is 0.8 N·m to achieve a longer service life and better resistance to frequent assembly and disassembly.
The depth of the screwdriver engagement has been specially adjusted to ensure that the recess is deep enough for secure tightening, thereby reducing the risk of slipping.
