Air is compressible – oil is not. As soon as bubbles become trapped in the shock oil, the damping is no longer determined by the oil alone, and any change to the set-up becomes a guessing game. The SkyRC Shock Oil Bubble Buster is a compact vacuum degassing device that uses negative pressure to extract dissolved air and microbubbles from the oil. The result: sluggish, spongy response, differences between the left and right shock absorbers, and performance drift due to temperature changes disappear – identical set-ups finally deliver identical results.

The adjustable pump voltage of 3–5.5V allows the degassing intensity to be precisely tailored to the oil’s viscosity: a higher setting for thick, high-viscosity oils ensures rapid and thorough degassing, whilst a lower setting for thin oils gently removes bubbles without disrupting the oil’s structure. Thanks to the two inputs – XT60 (5–15 V) and USB-C (5 V) – it can be powered directly from a LiPo battery on the track and from a power bank or mains adapter in the workshop. The included adaptors in various sizes fit standard shock bodies from Ø13 to Ø19 mm – 1/8 off-road, 1/10 touring cars and crawlers alike.
