SkyRC LapWiz Smart Lap Timing System
The SkyRC LapWiz is a smart lap time and performance system for RC racers who want more than just lap counting. It combines precise IR timing, Shadow Run training, cloud-based rankings and detailed performance analyses to create a complete racing ecosystem, from daily training to club races.
Highly sensitive IR sensors in the transponder and decoder ensure fast, reliable and accurate lap detection at a range of 3–10 m. As no loops need to be laid in the ground, set-up is effortless: simply position and align the supplied aluminium stand – and the race can begin. A magnetic sun visor reduces glare from sunlight and improves signal stability outdoors.
The app allows you to manage transponder IDs, create driver profiles and organise multi-car races. Drivers can join a race instantly by scanning a QR code. The Shadow Run feature lets you compete against your personal best lap – with real-time delta feedback for greater consistency and speed. Multilingual voice announcements provide updates on the fastest lap, the last lap, changes in position and the finish.
LapWiz operates in standalone mode entirely without an internet connection via Bluetooth. Live times and leaderboards can be streamed to a large screen via AirPlay, Apple TV or Android Casting. Thanks to OTA updates, the system is always up to date. Two AA batteries provide up to 300 hours of battery life.
