Steel Chassis Conversion Kit – Eclipse 5, Eclipse 6 (U9620)
With the steel chassis conversion kit, you can upgrade your Schumacher Eclipse 6 or Eclipse 5 to a spring steel chassis. Schumacher has developed the kit to deliver smooth, predictable handling and easier driveability – particularly with the high levels of grip typical of LMP12 racing.
The chassis is made from specially developed, 1.1 mm-thick spring steel and is 11.5 mm narrower than the standard chassis. As it is thinner than the 2 mm-thick aluminium chassis, all components mounted on it sit 0.9 mm lower. Weighing 91.2 g, it is 7 g heavier than the aluminium chassis. The result, according to Schumacher: a fast yet easy-to-drive car with more rotation through the middle of corners, a smoother ride and a wider set-up window.
