Converting to a front-mounted drive shaft ensures that the car rolls more when the gearbox is under load.
Normally, a dogbone secured with pins on a standard output provides more grip/friction, which keeps the chassis flatter through corners, in turn giving the car more forward drive.
With the ball bearing system, you should achieve more movement in the front end via the suspension, meaning the steering and suspension are less affected by throttle inputs.
The team has found that this leads to better steering response and the front/nose diving deeper into the corner, resulting in quicker turn-in.
The team has observed the best results on surfaces with medium and high grip.
