Optional 1.5 mm 7075 T6 aluminium chassis for RC MAKER SP1
NOTE: 110-degree screws are required to mount this chassis! The standard 90 degree screws from the kit will NOT fit. You can purchase the screw kit and additional screws HERE.
Our new 1.5mm 7075 T6 chassis has been intensively developed over several months of testing with team riders in different classes and on different surfaces. It has proven to be an excellent compromise that works well on a variety of surfaces, from low grip tarmac to high grip carpet!
Compared to the 2.0 mm aluminium chassis, the 1.5 mm chassis allows more rotation and makes the car freer in corners.
The overall stiffness of the chassis is comparable to that of a hard carbon chassis, but it is 0.75 mm thinner, which significantly reduces the centre of gravity.
Made from 7075 T6 aluminium with black anodising

Note: This thin aluminium is very difficult to machine flat and every measure has been taken to make it as flat as possible. Each chassis has been individually tested to meet our strict tolerance requirements. This chassis is also more fragile and more susceptible to deformation from impact than the 2.0mm aluminium chassis or the carbon chassis and is therefore not recommended for beginners.
