OfficinaRC Titanium Lower Ball Set for Awesomatix A800R (8)
This kit replaces all the knuckle balls that the control arms are attached to on the A800R chassis.
The OFC-AT21ST-A-T are knuckle balls with the same dimensions as the original ones (AT21ST-A), but they are individually machined in Italy from solid titanium and do not have the top taper.
Instead, they have a continuous threaded hole that allows the use of screws of the same size for tightening, even if the thickness of the underlying washers is changed.
Ti-6Al4V is the most commonly used titanium alloy in motorsports and aerospace.
This alloy contains 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium. It is an excellent combination of strength and toughness with added corrosion resistance.
- Lightweight (density 4.43g/cm3)
- High specific breaking load (225.73 MPa/(g/cm3) per unit density) (breaking load 1000 Mpa)
- Biocompatibility
- Low thermal and electrical conductivity
- Corrosion and stress corrosion cracking resistance
