Mugen Seiki Product Description :

  • Mugen Seiki is delighted to announce the new MTC-3 electric touring car kit. The MTC-3 is a further development of the highly successful MTC-2 and MTC-2R platforms. The prototype was first used at the 2024 IFMAR World Championships, where both MTC-3s qualified for the A-Main final: Ronald Volker finished 4th and Jacob Cruz 10th.
  • The MTC-3 features a completely new design. The only parts carried over from the MTC-2R are the drive shafts, motor, differential and drive belt. The MTC-3 features a 1.5 mm thick aluminium chassis that performs superbly on both asphalt and carpet. The top deck design is unique and the short shock absorbers round off a superb new suspension package.

Chassis

  • New 1.5mm aluminium chassis.
  • Can be used with standard screws only (no special screws required).
  • The new chassis offers a wider range of torsional stiffness settings to adapt to all track conditions.
  • The new chassis makes a carbon chassis option unnecessary.
  • Lower centre of gravity for improved cornering (0.5 mm or 0.7 mm).
  • The chassis design has less overhang to create more clearance and reduce the likelihood of the chassis contacting the track surface.

Suspension

  • New carbon lower arm construction.
  • New adjustability of shock and upper arm angles – no shims required, no shims that can be misplaced.  
  • Faster and easier setup adjustments.

Motor mount

  • Newly designed aluminium motor mount.
  • New adjustable countershaft height.
  • Allows the use of the main gear in the lowest possible position.
  • Option to use 90-inch spur gears for a wide range of categories and track conditions (standard and modified).
  • Improved weight distribution.

Upper deck

  • New carbon upper decks with improved positioning of the upper deck within the car.
  • New upper deck where the upper bulkheads can be completely removed.
  • Easy access to the differential without having to remove anything other than the rear upper deck.
  • New bulkheads with a compact design

Shock absorbers

  • The new shock mounts are screwed directly onto the frames – no additional parts are required (can be used in fixed or active position).
  • New short shock absorbers provide a lower centre of gravity and improved geometry.
  • New range of ultra-short shock absorbers.
  • Reduced weight of the shock absorber package.

New body posts

  • Easier body mounting.
  • The front features two mounting positions to facilitate body preparation.
  • At the rear
  • ,
  • three body mounting options are available (horizontal, vertical and horizontal with an additional part for mounting in the body’s wing strut).
  • The rear features an adjustable suspension travel stop included in the kit.  

Further new features

  • New body support, included in the MTC3 kit.
  • New upper arms with a new design using a 6 mm ball.
  • Two body stop positions.
  • Lightweight bumper – the carbon upper plate includes an adjustable spring travel limiter.

ToniSport Tips

  • The Mugen Seiki tool for measuring caster is a MUST HAVE (B0560). The set includes 4 measuring pointers and you can easily share it with another person!
  • We recommend using Arrowmax or Axon DTS 64DP main gears.
  • For a 3.8 reduction ratio in Stock classes (ETS regulations), simply use a 90-tooth main gear and a 45-tooth motor pinion.
  • For Modified, a good starting point is a 94-tooth main gear and a 25-tooth motor pinion.
  • You will need an adjustable servo horn to set a height of 15 or 16 mm.
