The Mugen MTC2 has a different geometry than most other touring cars with normal, short shocks due to its longer swingarms. This means that you need softer springs for the MTC2 than you usually use in a "normal" touring car.
Therefore, Mugen Seiki has put together a complete range of springs for the MTC2. Of course, your other short springs will also fit the MTC2's shocks, but most of them will probably be too hard.
For reference, a soft 2.5 Xray spring is roughly comparable to the hardest Mugen spring (5.75).
