MXLR V2 Front Body Support for Awesomatix A800R / A800RR
With the trend towards featherweight bodies and ever-increasing top speeds, body deformation is becoming a real problem for serious racers. The solution is the MXLR Front Body Support System.
It prevents bodywork deformation at high speeds
It reduces the risk of torn front wheel arches due to deformation.
The body support is made of PA12 nylon - a material that is optimised to withstand tension, abrasion and force.
When designing the A800R / A800RR, we paid particular attention to the structural properties of the body at this point. The car must be able to move in place - the strut must not stiffen it.
Our design is chosen so that it has the least possible influence on the flex. Now NEW: With additional laser engraving!
Assembly tips
#1 - Choose the M4 grub screws with 6mm or 8mm length depending on the height of the body used.
#2 - Screw the M4 grub screw into the upper hole of the support. This will be difficult the first time as the screw forms its own thread. You should screw the screw in BEFORE you mount the part in the car.
#3 - Remove the two bolts that connect the A800R bumper plate to the bulkheads and put the support on there. SB3X8 or SB3X10 (instead of the original SB3X6 used there) screws should be used. These screws are not included in the set. #4 - Adjust the support to the correct height. The grub screw should touch the bonnet - without additional play - as soon as the body rests on its brackets.

Note: Please do not forget that this product is made by a 3D printer. You can therefore see layers and lines of the material. MXLR strives for the best possible quality and therefore uses 3D printers that are capable of delivering this - however, a 3D printed part will always differ in surface finish from a milled or injection moulded part.
