The deformation of particularly lightweight bodies at high speeds can noticeably impair performance. The MXLR Rear Body Support for the XRAY X4’26 has been developed to provide additional support to the rear section of the body.
The additional body support:
- prevents the body from deforming at high speeds
- reduces the risk of cracks in the area of the rear wheel arches
- ensures that the body retains its intended shape more effectively
- thereby supporting consistent aerodynamic performance and maximum downforce
- can significantly extend the service life of particularly lightweight bodywork
The MXLR Rear Body Support is manufactured from a high-quality and particularly durable material that offers excellent impact resistance.
During development, particular attention was paid to the design of the X4 bulkheads and the important flex behaviour in this area. The Rear Body Support is designed so that its influence on the vehicle’s flex is kept to a minimum.
Note on manufacturing
This product is a 3D-printed component. Due to the manufacturing process, visible layers and lines may therefore be present on the surface. MXLR attaches great importance to achieving the highest possible print quality; however, due to the nature of the design, the surface finish of a 3D-printed component does not correspond to that of a milled or injection-moulded product.
