The deformation of lightweight bodywork, especially at higher speeds, leads to a noticeable reduction in performance!
The solution is the MXLR rear body mount for the Awesomatix A800R/RR, which:
- prevents deformation of the bodywork at higher speeds
- reduces the risk of cracks in the wheel arches of the bodywork
The result is a longer life for your bodywork combined with better performance on the track as the bodywork retains its original shape and generates more downforce!
The MXLR rear body mount is made from high quality material that is very durable and offers excellent impact resistance! In the design, we paid particular attention to the design of the A800R bulkhead and the importance of "flexibility" in this area. Our rear body mount is designed to minimize the flex impact as much as possible!
The rear body mount can be mounted in three different places in the car, depending on the different Toplink and Toplink mounting options!
1: On the rear top deck (possible in both directions)
2: In front of the AM19 Toplink brackets (facing backwards)
3: Behind the AM19 top link brackets (facing forwards)
With the standard AM19-R top link brackets, you can choose the desired position - all three fit.
With the optional AM19-TLT top link brackets, you can use the rear position and align the support to the front.
For long toplinks mounted on the bulkheads, you can use the AM19 front brackets.
In the gallery you will find pictures showing all three mounting options.
INFO: Mounting screws are not included in the scope of delivery! We recommend the use of Awesomatix alloy screws with a length of 7 mm (SB3X7AL).
Installation information:
- Select the correct mounting location to suit your Toplink configuration.
- Install the rear body mount.
- Adjust the rear body mount to the correct height! The top bolt (not included) should touch the trunk with no additional play when the body itself rests on the rear body post.
Side note: Don't forget that this product was made with a 3D printer. This means that you can see layers and lines of the material! We strive for the best quality that our printers can deliver. However, you must remember that 3D printed parts are not to the same standard as machined or molded products.
