MR33 V4 Carpet Additive 100ml ETS

MR33 presents the new "V4 version" of the MR33 adhesive. The adhesive is specially designed for use on carpet and has a completely new formula. Based on natural ingredients (without chemicals), the new "V4" adhesive helps to build up grip on the carpet faster than before. This is particularly important at big races, where a completely new carpet is usually laid out. Like its predecessors, the new MR33 V4 Indoor Adhesive comes in practical 100ml bottles with a sponge for application!

1️⃣ What are hollow tires for 1:10 RC cars?

Hollow tires (often Rubber Tires with Inserts) consist of:

• Rubber tires (outer)

• Foam insert (inside)
  → This foam insert supports the tire from the inside so that it does not collapse and defines how soft or firm the tire sits on the rim.

Application: Standard for onroad and offroad RC cars in 1:10 scale - for both touring cars and buggies.

2️⃣ What is Tire Traction Compound?

Tire traction compound is a liquid or gel that is applied to the tread of the tire to soften the surface of the rubber:

• Soften the surface of the rubber 

• Increase the grip (adhesion) on the road
  → Particularly helpful on slippery or dusty surfaces

3️⃣ Why do you use adhesives especially on hollow tires?

Hollow-chamber tires (unlike sponge rubber tires, for example) have a flexible tread.
You can use adhesives to achieve this:

✅ More grip → better traction when accelerating and cornering
✅ More consistency → the grip remains stable for longer during a race
✅  Fine-tuning → you can specifically influence the steering behavior and stability

4️⃣ What is the technical effect of adhesives on hollow tires?

• Adhesive slightly swells the rubber, making it more supple → the tire lays better in the microstructure of the asphalt or carpet.

• In combination with the foam insert the tire remains dimensionally stable, although the surface becomes softer → ideal balance between flexibility and stability.

→ Adjust application time & quantity (depending on temperature, track surface, tire compound)

Always clean tiresafter the race (brake cleaner or special cleaner), otherwise the tires will become brittle and age more quickly.
