Introducing our brand new SlimX 2.0mm fibreglass Type 2 topdeck for Awesomatix A800RR

These two-piece SlimX 2 Type 2 top decks extend the flex point with their T-shaped design that provides a softer initial flex. This can be a great tuning option for the front or rear axle to adjust the balance of the car. The third and very often unused bolt hole for the motor mount has been removed to allow for more tabs and more fine tuning options. This top deck offers a range of flex options including bolt location and carbon tabs.

The use of Type 2 at the rear provides more rotation in the centre and exit of the turn. This frees up the rear of the vehicle.

Using Type 2 on the front axle makes the car less aggressive initially, easier to drive and has more steering later in the turn.

This 2.0mm fibreglass variant is a great option for use with aluminium and steel chassis to achieve more flexibility! Fibreglass has a softer initial flex compared to carbon fibre, but a more progressive flex characteristic (it gets stiffer the more you bend it) and is a great option to fine tune the flex characteristics of your chassis on all chassis types.

These 2.0mm SlimX top decks are CNC machined in Australia from high quality carbon fibre.

They are designed for use with the standard ST019 screws from Awesomatix.
