ARC A11 Touring Car Kit 1:10 Aluminum 1,5mm Chassis
ARC A11 Touring Car Kit 1:10 Aluminum 1,5mm Chassis
This kit is slightly incomplete. Why? We opened it up because we needed a part (drive shafts) for a customer. We then put the parts back in, and the kit is now complete!
The A11 is ARC’s new contender for 2026. The initial race results have already been very promising, and the car bears virtually no resemblance to its predecessor, the A10. With its very attractive price and excellent quality, the A11 is certainly a top choice for anyone looking for a 1:10 touring car of the highest standard.
Carbon fibre wishbones
The brand-new carbon fibre wishbones are available in two materials: a standard-stiffness version, which is included with the car, and a stiffer version for tracks with high grip or demanding circuits. The shape of the A11 lower arm ensures even force distribution and effectively transfers the car’s weight to the tyres, thereby maximising overall mechanical grip. The new ball joint on the lower arm is secured with an O-ring, which makes fitting and maintenance easier. All 4.9 mm ball heads are made from titanium to ensure maximum strength and optimum lightness.
X-Low shock absorbers
The A11 X-Low shock absorber is 1 mm shorter than its predecessor, the A10-25 Ultra Short shock absorber, and its overall installation height is reduced by 3 mm. Consequently, the A11 can only accommodate 17-mm springs. The black body of the X-Low features a hardened coating, and an X-ring is used at the base of the oil seal to ensure smooth and reliable operation. The A11’s shock absorbers have been repositioned to a more central location, with both the front and rear shock absorbers moved inwards. Consequently, the A11’s shock absorbers are not only lower but also more centrally positioned. As with the A10, the front and rear shock absorber mounts feature two bolts for adjusting stiffness. When fully locked in the standard position, the shock absorber mounts are at their stiffest and provide the most direct response.
New front bumper
The A11’s new front bumper not only increases the height but also minimises the surface area of the front chassis to reduce contact with the floor or carpet. On most flat tracks, the ride height can be set to between 4.2 and 4.5 mm without causing excessive friction on the chassis.
New drivetrain
The A11’s all-new drivetrain utilises a completely new gear ratio: 40T for the front spool drive and rear differential, 21T for the intermediate pulley, and a final drive ratio of 1.904. Long-term testing has shown that this axle ratio is suitable for Stock and Modified racing, and the larger pulleys ensure less belt sag and a smoother power transfer.
New engine mount
Compared to the A10, the motor position on the new A11 has been moved 3 mm inwards. The new motor mount features bearings at the front, rear and centre to adjust the belt tension, resulting in smoother operation of the entire transmission system. Another new feature is that the motor height can be adjusted using the third screw. When the upper screw is used for mounting, the motor height increases by 0.5 mm, which in certain cases can prevent the rear cover of the motor from touching the ground.
Ball-bearing drive shafts
The A11’s new drive shafts all use smaller bearings instead of the previous C-caps, and both the front spool and the rear differential shell are made from high-strength S2 steel, ensuring maximum smoothness and durability. Completely new front spool and rear differential The completely new front spool shaft features a smaller 6×10 bearing and has been extensively lightweighted. The rear differential features a new bevel gear and a new design, utilising 5×8 small bearings internally to secure the rear axle and 6×10 small bearings externally. This achieves optimum smoothness and weight. Compared to aluminium alloy differential housings, the housing – made entirely from plastic – is not only lighter but also prevents overheating, thus ensuring consistent performance throughout the entire 5-minute race.
New anti-roll bars
The A11’s anti-roll bar is positioned significantly lower on the chassis compared to the A10, which further lowers the overall centre of gravity. The anti-roll bar runs beneath the lower wishbone and is connected to its outermost section, enabling it to operate with precision. New steering knuckles The A11’s steering knuckles are made from a high-strength, precision-machined 7075-T6 aluminium alloy. The front and rear wheel hubs are identical, which makes sourcing spare parts easier. Thanks to the new design, the front section can maintain a fixed angle when aligned with the drive shaft. The rear drive shaft is also made from a 7075-T6 aluminium alloy, which is lightweight and high-strength.
New 8.0 mm steering plate
The spacing of the new steering plate has been changed from 8.5 mm to 8.0 mm. This subtle change makes the A11’s steering more responsive, particularly in tight spaces, and enables faster lap times. The new steering plate limits the maximum steering angle to 26 degrees, ensuring a suitable angle for various grip conditions.
New battery mount
The new battery mount makes it easier to adjust the battery’s position. The battery’s position plays an important role in the touring car’s handling. The correct position can be adjusted using just a few screws and washers in the battery mount. The battery mount, made entirely from plastic, further reduces the weight on the right-hand side of the car, making it easier to use high-capacity LiPo batteries.
New Up-Stop function
The design of the A11 incorporates the latest ‘Up-Stop’ limit function on the bulkhead. This function can adjust body roll and lateral grip by limiting the upper suspension travel of the wishbones. On high-grip tracks, reducing the front upper suspension travel can improve the front axle’s response and prevent oversteer. Reducing the rear upper suspension travel can reduce rear-wheel grip and improve response when changing direction. This is an optional accessory and can be purchased separately.
