Our 130-piece upper-body screw set is everything you need to fully equip the upper body and chassis components of your MSX1 carpet or dirt kit with top-quality titanium screws! The set contains: M2.5 LowPro screws for securing the hinge pins, as well as the front wing and shock absorber guards M3 LowPro screws replace all M3 pan-head screws on the top of the buggy M3 flat-head screws replace their steel counterparts at all points on the top of the buggy Lockdown-head screws round off our set for secure servo and motor mounting!

Many titanium products on the market come from the same two factories in China, where individual surface treatments often take precedence over material quality. At 1up Racing, we’ve taken a different approach – we’ve spent years carefully sourcing high-quality materials and trusted partners to develop our ‘Pro Duty Titanium’ product range. These components are custom-made in Taiwan to our specifications, using premium Grade 5 6AL4V titanium to ensure strength and reliability.

Installation note: We recommend using genuine MIP hex keys (2.0 mm) to ensure optimum engagement and fit. Most failures we observe with bolts and hex connections are due to over-tightening during installation. If you experience problems with screws coming loose, be sure to use a threadlocker rather than tightening the screws excessively. This will keep the hex head in excellent condition, and your Pro Duty screws can be reused time and time again for years to come. Use the steel screws included in the set on the underside of the chassis. 

Using titanium screws on the underside would raise the vehicle’s centre of gravity and reduce stability and cornering speed. Whilst alternatives such as brass or tungsten screws are available, we have found that these are either too soft and prone to breaking, or so stiff that they restrict the chassis’s torsional flexibility and negatively affect handling.
