Introducing our digital caster gauge for the Schumacher Mi9!
The digital caster gauge shows the actual caster angle directly on the hub.
This gauge is located on the top of the hub, in the same position that the caster tool would be. It is firmly attached to a carbon plate that has a square recess with a slot so that only the screw needs to be loosened, just like our conventional caster tool. Once inserted, it locks perfectly into position.
The caster can then be adjusted in 0.1 degree increments to ensure it is exactly the same at all 4 corners of the vehicle. This also allows you to make very fine adjustment changes of half a degree, which regularly proves to be inaccurate with conventional setting stations.
The digital caster gauge can be used on all standard alignment stations, even if they do not support caster adjustment via caster markings. It is a completely separate measuring device that does not rely on any part of the setting station itself to measure the caster. This ensures that when copying setup sheets and other riders' setups, the caster measurement is genuine and not from a specific brand setup station.
The accuracy of this gauge is incredible. We have referenced multiple angles to ensure the accuracy is always precise and consistent. Tests have shown that all gauges are within 0.01 degree tolerance over a 6 degree caster range of the Schumacher, so you can reproduce your caster settings time and time again. Every digital caster gauge is tested before sale and perfect calibration is guaranteed every time.
You can use this gauge on any angle bench/setting board as the 'zero' function allows it to adjust to any angle surface you are working on. Zero the device on both sides of your pit board before use and you'll have accurate measurements all day long!
The device comes with a protective case to ensure it stays brand new, as well as a AAA battery for operation, which can be easily replaced when flat.
