Los tacos de aluminio de 10 mm pertenecen a los utensilios de configuración más importantes en todas las clases 1:10 de carretera. Se coloca el coche sobre ellos y luego se ajusta el recorrido de la suspensión con el calibrador apropiado (por ejemplo, HU-107714 o MR33CDG).
El recorrido de la suspensión es un parámetro de configuración muy importante, porque define la distancia que su suspensión puede recorrer mecánicamente durante el rebote. Esto entra en juego en todas las situaciones en las que el vehículo cambia de peso. Es decir, de atrás hacia adelante al frenar, de adelante hacia atrás al acelerar y, por supuesto, de lado a lado al tomar las curvas.
