Extra powerful, fast and programmable digital brushless low profile servo with steel gearbox and... more
MIBO Drift King Servo Programmable (RWD Drift Spec 18.0kg/8.4V)

Extra powerful, fast and programmable digital brushless low profile servo with steel gearbox and double ball bearing. Mainly for use in 1/10 scale RWD RC drift cars. Full aluminum housing provides perfect cooling under heavy load.

This servo is specially designed for RWD drift cars. The brushless motor provides enough torque to keep the car stable at an angle and during fast transitions. Advanced software provides perfect gyro signal filtration so that a smooth ride, without steering errors can occur.

It is programmable with the USB programming/interface for MIBO Servo and PC software. You can set your own values and parameters for servo angle, servo neutral position, damping, output power, sensitivity, soft start, reverse, etc. You also have the option to enable SANWA SSR or FUTABA SR mode.

Setup recommendations:

The basic setup is designed for a variety of chassis and electronics. We recommend the following steps for the best fit for your RC car:

  1. Make sure all associated values (trims, endpoints, dual rate, etc.) in your transmitter and gyro, if applicable, are in the base setup.
  2. For compatible radios, you can enable SANWA SSR or FUTABA SR mode(must also be enabled in your transmitter).
  3. Check your steering direction, including in the gyro module as well. Toggle the Reverse parameter if needed.
  4. Center the neutral position of the steering system. If possible, mechanically adjust the linkage between the servo horn and the steering arm. If you do not have this option, use the Servoneutral parameter.
  5. Set your maximum steering angle. The full steering wheel rotation on both sides should correspond to the full steering angle of the landing gear. At this angle, the steering stop should lightly touch the control arms, or the wheels should be in a position where there is no danger of dragging on the chassis. Adjust it with the help of the servo horn or, if this is not possible, with the servo angle parameter
  6. Set the parameter Damping factor to a minimum value required to reduce bumps.
Programmable functions:
  • Deflection Size: Used to set the maximum size of servo deflections. The default setting is about 120° at the normal range of control pulse widths (900~2100 µs); about 180° at the maximum allowable range of control pulse widths (500~2500 µs).
  • Servo neutral position: Adjusts the neutral position (center position) of the servo.
  • Damping: Sets the characteristic of the servo behavior when stopping its movement.
  • Output Power: Sets the output power of the servo. The higher the value, the faster the servo and the higher the power - of course, the power consumption is also proportionally higher. Range: 39.2~100%
  • Sensitivity: Sets the sensitivity (insensitivity bandwidth) of the servo. The higher the value, the narrower the insensitivity bandwidth - the servo will move, only if the change in control signal width is greater than the insensitivity bandwidth. If you set the sensitivity value too high, the servo may oscillate in some applications. Range: Ultra High (Extra high - insensitivity band approx. 1 µs) - High (High - approx. 2 µs) - Medium (Medium - approx. 3 µs) - Low (Low - approx. 4 µs)
  • Soft start: Switches the soft start function on/off. This function prevents the servo from abruptly going to the operating position after being connected to the power supply, thus reducing the risk of damaging its gear.
  • Servo Reverse: Reverses the servo deflections.
  • FUTABA SR mode: Only for use with channels of RC sets FUTABA operating in SR mode. Do not turn this option on if you are using a different setup of RC set FUTABA or a different brand of RC set.
  • SANWA SSR mode: Only for use with channels of RC sets SANWA operating in SSR mode. Do not turn this option on when using any other setup of RC set SANWA or any other brand of RC set.
  • Fail-safe: If the control signal from the receiver fails completely or the servo cannot detect the signal correctly (e.g. due to interference), the servo can switch to one of three emergency modes:
    • (a) Free: Fail-safe is turned off.
    • (b) Hold Position: The servo maintains the position corresponding to the last correctly received signal.
    • (c) Transition to neutral position: The servo returns to neutral position (pulse width 1500 µs).
  • Overload protection: Activates or deactivates the servo overload protection in three steps - as soon as the overload persists for a preset time (in seconds), the servo output power is limited to the corresponding preset value (in % of the maximum power).
  • Reset: Restores the factory settings of the connected servo.

Extended supply voltage 4.8-7.4 V (nominal voltage).

Output shaft with thousand teeth/5.94 mm.
