Introducing our 3D Pro Carbon Ultra-Lite Body Stiffener for 1/10 EP Onroad!
Low center of gravity and aerodynamics are the big issues in touring right now. Stiffer bodies usually come at the expense of weight and center of gravity, making it difficult to have a lightweight yet stiff shell.
These one-piece stiffeners combine very thin carbon rods with the latest 3D printing technology to achieve a feather-light weight of just 2.5g! The center is attached with the included double-sided tape and the sides with the included M3 screws to provide a very lightweight, rigid and easy to install solution.
This allows you to use lighter body panels to keep the center of gravity low, while providing significant stiffness that cannot currently be achieved with any other body panel on the market. The stiffness of the sides reduces flutter or bending of the Lexan. This significantly increases the stability and handling of the vehicle at high speeds.
The plastic parts are printed at a very high resolution and with some of the highest quality filament on the market to make them suitable for the job. The filament offers high stretch and strength when printed on our industrial printers. The center section is rounded to follow the roof of common car bodies, while the side brackets are shaped to provide maximum strength with minimal weight.
The stiffener kit comes pre-assembled and includes all fasteners for installation. If you prefer, you can also attach the stiffener to the center and sides using what is commonly known as "shoe glue". The stiffeners have undergone extensive durability testing and have proven to be extremely strong; we have yet to have one break on the track!
